Global Careership Initiative

The Global Careership Program is one of three programs within the Global Career Development Initiative of the Global Wellness Institute. The Global Career Development task force was formed in 2012 at the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) by industry leaders to address the market gaps presented in the research report commissioned by GWS, "Spa Management Workforce & Education: Addressing Market Gaps."

The Global Careership Program focuses on promoting spa and wellness careers through education and inspiration. Under the guidance and dedication of the late industry leader, Lori Hutchinson, the program has been able to create this website, an infographic and video to showcase the benefits of spa and wellness careers, and a universal message of support for those who are joining our industry. These projects were also made possible through the support of our founding sponsors, Hilton, Hutchinson Consulting, Leisure Media, Mandarin Oriental, Massage Envy, The Zen Girl, Triology Spa Holdings and Universal Companies.
