Michael Lahm named COO of TLee Spas

01 Jul 2019
Spa design and consulting firm TLee Spas has named Michael Lahm as vice president and COO.

Based in New York City, Lahm works closely with founder Tracy Lee to conceive and implement new spa and wellness experiences from concept through completion. In his role, Lahm assumes operational and leadership responsibilities for the company, while continuing his lead role on design and turnkey project management for all development projects.

“I am thrilled to be elevating Michael’s position to COO, which signals the beginning of a new era of growth and deeper focus on design and innovation in operations,” said Lee. “Michael’s experience and keen design sensibility allows TLee Spas to build upon the foundation that has been created since the inception of TLee Spas 10 years ago. Our presence on both coasts allows us to have more efficient interaction with clients, designers and operational teams to effectively leverage our diverse, yet complementary backgrounds.”

With a background in operations and development encompassing a notable portfolio of brands, Lahm combines a depth of operational and development expertise within a broad spectrum of the spa, beauty and hospitality landscape.

After beginning his spa career in the 1990s as managing director of the original Bliss Spa in New York City, Lahm continued consulting for various leading spa brands, including spearheading the SUNDÃRI skincare brand’s entry into the spa channel and later launching the spa concept at CORE: club in New York City.

Shifting his focus into luxury hospitality, Lahm began collaborating with Lee in 2011 while working on the spa at The Miami Beach Edition. Coming full circle, Lee and Lahm recently completed a project with The Abu Dhabi Edition and the upcoming West Hollywood Edition.

They are actively working a number of high-profile hospitality projects, including the flagship Equinox Hotel at Hudson Yards, The Ritz Reserve in Los Cabos and 1 Hotel Sunnyvale in Silicon Valley.
