27 Nov 2019
Sangha Retreat by Octave Institute is offering a four or seven-day Traditional Spinal Alignment retreat at its wellness destination in Suzhou, China.

The experience is claimed to correct vertebral alignment, improve mental and emotional wellbeing, resolve muscle tension and inflammation and improve mobility and posture.

The retreat is one of Sangha’s 21 new wellness programmes and consists of customised vertebral therapy. Both programmes have a starting price of CNY6,526 (£719, US$928, €839) per night.

The programmes are created to guide guests on their ‘personal journeys of awakening’.

Fred Tsao, Octave Institute founder, said: “The purpose of the institute is to introduce a new cycle of living that achieves mind, body and spiritual wellness”.

The four-day spinal retreat includes chiropractic and wellness assessments, a rehab session with a chiropractor and personal rehabilitation coach, an anti-inflammatory Chinese cookery class and a 60-minute spa treatment.

The seven-day programme also offers both assessments, two rehab sessions, an anti-inflammatory Chinese nutrition workshop, two 60 minute spa treatments, pilates spinal correction and de-stress management.

The 21 wellness programmes are derived from 14 themes which range from seasonal gut management to gender-specific retreats, designed to improve overall health and physical and emotional wellbeing.

The Seasonal Gut Management programme is designed to improve participant’s overall health and immune systems, lessen allergic responses and reduce fatigue through the Chinese practice of eating seasonally. This retreat is available as a four or seven-day programme and has a starting price of CNY6,526 (£719, US$928, €839) per night.

For the same price, guests can participate in Sangha’s seven-day cardiac programme – Heart to Heart – which is designed to improve overall body function through diagnosing and optimising heart health and ultimately help prevent the development of ailments.

All 21 programmes include a personalised, integrated wellness assessment, access to the hydrothermal spa circuit, the daily schedule of fitness, yoga, nutrition and cookery classes, mindfulness workshops and personalised daily meals.
