TCM and Pranayama residences announced for GOCO Spa Daios Cove

01 Apr 2020
GOCO Spa Daios Cove will embrace ancient holistic healing traditions to improve health and wellbeing with visiting wellness practitioners in Crete, Greece, in Q2 2020.

Located at Daios Cove Luxury Resort and Villas, the GOCO-operated spa will host Dr Rui Loureiro, a certified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor and acupuncturist with over 17 years clinical experience and Summer Dien, an international specialist in pranayama breathing techniques and Ashtanga yoga.

Loureiro is set to visit the resort from 1-15 July 2020 and offer guests a complimentary consultation, finding a wellbeing diagnosis through TCM methods.

Depending on the personal diagnosis, he will then recommend tailored therapies that focus on achieving balance and harmony, which will include auriculotherapy, epigenetic testing, acupuncture, holistic facial and anti-cellulite treatments.

Loureiro has experience in hospitals in China, Portugal and the UK, and is head of the Chinese Medicine Department of St Louis Hospital, Lisbon.

Between 1-16 August 2020, Dien will offer guests one-on-one sessions and host daily group morning and afternoon classes, allowing guests to explore yoga in their own way, while she modifies the practices to suit their current needs and abilities.

With a decade of experience, Dien is trained in both the Pranayama practices of the Kaivalyadham lineage and the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa system.

“Every year we search the world for the most interesting experts in various fields and make them available to our guests,” said Ingo Schweder, GOCO Hospitality CEO, who himself practices yoga.

“By exploring some of the most timeless of practices this year, we have an ability to combine exceptional knowledge and guidance with our existing spa offering to boost wellbeing and promote both physical and mental longevity,” he said.

GOCO Spa Daios Cove delivers personalised wellness experience merging holistic treatments and the healing attributes of local thermal water with comprehensive fitness facilities. Guests are offered a treatment menu featuring Asian treatment modalities, blended with local service values and hospitality.
