Six Senses announces new wellness role for Mark Sands

17 Jan 2020
Mark Sands has been promoted to VP of wellness at Six Senses.

Prior to his promotion, Sands worked as area spa director for Six Senses in Vietnam and Thailand, where he created and launched multiple Six Senses’ wellness initiatives, while also leading spa operations.

Sands began his Six Senses career in 2011 and has worked closely with the technical services team on multiple aspects of spa development. He recently supported the launch of Mission Wellness, the group-wide host wellbeing initiative.

Prior to joining Six Senses, Sands worked at Ananda in the Himalayas for six years.

Sands said: “I’m excited and honoured to be taking a larger role within such an important pillar of Six Senses. Having been part of the growth of Six Senses, in terms of its wellness programming and sustainability practices, it’s impossible not to be inspired by how the company has kept improving over the past seven years. Six Senses’ global development plans are also hugely exciting”.
