Secluded boutique hotel and spa retreat set to debut in Arizona desert town

27 Jul 2021
Arizona’s Sedona Rouge resort is currently undergoing a property-wide transformation and will debut as The Wilde Resort & Spa in September 2021.

Surrounded by the majestic red rock formations of Sedona and situated at the base of Thunder Mountain, the reimagined boutique resort is being designed to provide guests with the perfect balance of recreation and rejuvenation.

A cornerstone of the new property will be The Wilde Haven Spa, a mindful full-service spa and fitness centre offering treatments that promote healing and spiritual growth.

Outdoor soaking tubs and landscaped seating areas will invite guests to relax and take things a little slower.

In addition to an array of spa and fitness programming including sound bathing and yoga, guests will be able to enjoy on-property activities such as stargazing, storytelling around the fire pits and soaking in the scenery from the property’s Rangeview Rooftop, The Wilde Pool Bar, Suncatcher, a large sunlit atrium gathering space and more.

The Wilde’s revitalised courtyards are also at the heart of the property – dotted with grand Italian cypress trees and crowned by an expansive pool.

Accommodation at The Wilde will consist of 105 contemporary guest rooms and suites featuring dramatic colours, rich fabrics and sensual motifs.

“As we introduce the newest resort experience in Sedona, we’re confident guests will enjoy The Wilde’s thoughtfully designed spaces, authentically curated experiences and exceptional service delivered by our talented team,” said Jay Kriske, GM of The Wilde.

“We look forward to creating memorable experiences for our guests for many years to come.”

In their free time, guests will be invited to meander through the property’s gardens and courtyards, inspired by the rugged beauty of the Sonoran Desert and Oak Creek.

The Grove, the property’s largest outdoor gathering space, will act as an oasis where guests can take in the views of Thunder Mountain while relaxing around cosy fire pits.

The property will also feature a new modern culinary concept named Rascal, helmed by James Beard Award winner Chef Mercer Mohr.

Additional resort amenities will include 2,500sq ft of combined indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.

The property will allow for easy access to trailheads and close proximity to an endless amount of recreation opportunities in the great outdoors including hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing, ATVs, jeep tours and Grand Canyon excursions.
