Castelfalfi introduces luxury RAKxa-branded spa experiences in Tuscany

Five-star Tuscan retreat Castelfalfi has celebrated the relaunch of its spa with a partnership with integrative wellness and medical retreat RAKxa based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Following extensive multi-million-dollar renovations across the Italian golf resort, the Castelfalfi Spa has undergone a complete overhaul combining centuries-old traditions with contemporary design.

The new spa features warm earthy tones and natural materials throughout. It is home to seven treatment rooms – including a couple’s suite – as well as two saunas, a steamroom, a relaxation area and an indoor/outdoor heated infinity pool with views of the estate’s rolling hills.

Spa treatments on offer are supplied by Espa and Maria Galland Paris.

RAKxa lands in Europe
Thanks to the partnership with RAKxa, the Castelfalfi Spa menu includes three RAKxa-branded wellness treatments and three retreats.

The collaboration marks RAKxa’s first European partnership.

Each ritual draws on the 60-villa resort’s philosophy which blends Traditional Thai Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and energy healing.

RAKxa Good Night Sleep90 minutes (€270, US$286, £236) or 120 minutes (€350, US$371, £305): a full-body massage and scalp massage accompanied by energy-balancing singing bowls and RAKxa Deep Sleep essential oil blend.

RAKxa Tension Release60 minutes (€190, US$201, £166), 90 minutes (€270, US$286, £236) or 120 minutes (€350, US$371, £305): Inspired by Traditional Thai Medicine and physiotherapy, this ritual blends Thai massage techniques with a full head-to-toe stretch. Pressure and acupressure are also applied along the principal meridian lines.

Seven Chakra Hot Stone Massage60 minutes (€190, US$201, £166) or 90 minutes (€270, US$286, £236): this treatment combines a hot stone massage with energy healing using crystals as well as a facial massage using rose quartz crystals.

Guests can also opt for one of three RAKxa branded retreats;

Day retreat by RAKxa Wellness Spa€460 (US$493, £400): one 90-minute RAKxa spa treatment, three-course wellness lunch, full access to the spa and a private exercise lesson (Qi Gong, breathwork, Pilates, yoga or stretching).

Calm and Restful by RAKxa Wellness Spa€2,140 (US$2,292, £1,862): two nights with meals included, full access to spa, a daily RAKxa spa treatment (RAKxa Good Night Sleep and Seven Chakra Hot Stone Massage), daily private exercise lesson (Qi Gong, breathwork, meditation, yoga or stretching) and a special tour (Olive Oil Tour & Honey Tasting with Wellness Talk or Guided Nature Walk with Breathing Exercises).

Active Recovery by RAKxa Wellness Spa€2,000 (US$2,142, £1,740): two nights with meals included, full access to the spa, a daily RAKxa spa treatment (RAKxa Tension Release and Seven Chakra Hot Stone Massage), daily private exercise lessons (Qi Gong, breathwork, meditation, yoga or stretching) and a mobility experience (Adventure Park, Guided Active Hike or Guided Bike Tour).

Castelfalfi – owned by the Lohia Family – has undergone a renovation to elevate its facilities, unveiling new guestrooms and suites and public spaces including brand new restaurant Olivina.

The 2,700-acre property is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts' Legend Collection.
