Evian Spa makes Middle Eastern debut, crowning top floor of luxury Bentley Tower

24 May 2024
Evian Spa, the spa and wellness brand inspired by the premium mineral water brand, has arrived in Doha, marking its inaugural Middle Eastern location and fifth global destination.

The new 1,800sq m wellness facility has been unveiled at the five-star Bentley Luxury Hotel and Suites in West Bay, closely following the debut of the first European Evian Spa in France last month.

Evian's spa roots
Introduced in Japan in 2012, the licenced Evian Spa concept has been rolled out to five destinations, including Tokyo, Hanoi, Seoul, Evian-Les-Bains and now Doha.

The launch of Evian Spa marked the water brand's second official foray into the industry, after opening its first day spa in Shanghai in a one-off venture in 2004.

Even prior to this launch, spas weren’t entirely new to Evian, as its parent company, Danone, had owned two hotels with spas (including Hôtel Royal and Hôtel Ermitage) located in its exclusive Evian Resort. In addition, the group owns the town’s original thermal baths, Les Thermes Evian.

Introducing Evian Spa Doha
The new Doha spa, featuring five treatment rooms, draws inspiration from the beauty of nature's water cycle. Its healing approach focuses on enhancing wellness through water-based experiences and a range of exclusive Evian Spa body and facial treatments.

Features include an aqua space equipped with a steamroom, a salt room, a snow room, an affusion shower and a Kneipp foot massage area.

Guests can also access a plunge pool, two hydro pools offering views across the bay, a sauna, an aqua bar and a retail area.

Patrick Saussay, consultant (GPSA Consulting) and development manager for the Evian Spa brand, shaped the vision for the new facility.

He said: “Evian Spa Doha is a spacious wellness facility, designed to take guests on an indulgent and tranquil journey inspired by rejuvenation, purity and everlasting youth.

“This opening is the latest step in our plan to partner with iconic global locations to allow guests to discover the story of Evian’s precious natural mineral water.”

In addition to the spa, the Bentley hotel – owned by the Khalid Bin Mahmoud Group – has been upgraded with a new fitness centre featuring modern equipment and a striking rooftop pool complete with a refreshing bar.
