Stephanie Rest named Spa & Wellness Director at The Watergate Hotel

Seasoned spa and wellness professional Stephanie Rest has been appointed Spa & Wellness Director for Argentta at the iconic Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C.

Rest brings with her a wealth of spa, travel and hospitality experience, having led award-winning teams for resorts and spas throughout the United States and the Caribbean. She will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations as well as introducing new programming and membership opportunities.

“We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie Rest to our amazing team,” said Rakel Cohen, senior vice president of design, development and communications at Euro Capital Properties and co-owner of The Watergate Hotel. “With her entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality service for the community, we know she will be a huge asset to the hotel.”

Rest serves on the International Spa Association’s Speaker Task Force and is an ambassador for Global Wellness Day. She is also part of the Washington Spa Alliance, founder of Caribbean Wellness & Education and creator of Spa Camp, a programme for teenagers interested in pursuing a spa and wellness career.

Rest said: "Argentta, meaning silver in Italian, is a healing and restorative place. Our spa menu is curated to meet the needs of the traveling hotel guest, as well as residents in the D.C. area. We are returning a sense of community to the waterfront through our membership and wellness programming.”
